Pediatric brain tumors can be the most difficult of all childhood tumors to manage. Hopkins experts are working aggressively to develop new drugs and other therapies to fight this type of childhood cancer.  Our experts created the "up-front" therapy for brain tumors, which has been widely adopted by other cancer facilities.  Combined modality approaches, using both surgery and chemotherapy, have greatly reduced relapses for many types of solid tumors, including brain tumors.
